A total waste of time.The quartet implied and ongoing story, but was little more that a family tree and unneeded facts. A big disappointment.
This volume put together the story with the other three volumes. It's good this volume did not leave the reader hanging with unfinished business.
The story line is thrill packed, Ms. Haggard know how to hold the readers' attention. After reading one of her books, you can not wait to start the next one.
Because I have enjoyed many other books on the York vs Tudor dynasties, I read all three books in the "Thwarted Queen" series. It is very interesting to see the wars from the non-central characters. The series is well done.
These 4 short books would do better as one book. I found it farfetched and fantastical to think a mother would act the way she is supposed to have in this book. Doesn't take long to read but not worth the time. I know it is just a novel but not my kind of thing.
I wasn't crazy about this book. Maybe I was at a disadvantage as I hadn't read the preceding three books in this series but the author would refer to people or events of which I had no knowledge. The characters were treated very objectively; there was no delving into the "why" people did what they did. Not a satisfying story.
This 4 volume alleged biography the Duchess of York, softens the image of the angry, unforgiving lady who was a so important in the story of the York white rose. I am an avid reader of medieval history, historically based fiction and genealogy. I well enjoyed this book.
